When planning our data centre build, we had 3 main objectives in mind:
- Build an extremely energy efficient data centre, which is kinder to the environment
- Provide a high level of redundancy across all major components
- To be located in an easily accessible area
Our facility offers a server hall providing a total capacity of 4050 ft² of high quality, resilient, secure and energy efficient space.
Being “Green” is high on our agenda
Our data centre utilises the very latest technologies to make it extremely energy efficient.
We use Denco’s Ambicool cooling system, which was recently highly commended at the Cooling Industry Awards. The Ambicool system uses indirect free cooling, utilising the cold external air during the winter and colder months.
By combining this system with Minkel’s revolutionary “Cold Aisle Enclosure”, which vastly increases cooling efficiency by only cooling within the enclosure and not the data hall as a whole, our cooling system is 40% more energy efficient than a traditional data centre with hot aisle/cold aisle arrangement and no free cooling.
Location
Our data centre is located in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. This is an ideal location, just minutes from Junction 7 on the A1 Motorway and only 30 miles from central London. It’s also easily accessible from further North along the A1 corridor.
Stevenage Railway Station also provides excellent links into London (20mins to Kings Cross) and to the North/East of England.
